I’m Lisa Wade, a NASM-certified personal trainer, Texas Masters boxing champion, and author of the e-book 20 High-Protein Smoothies. I’ve long been interested in exercise and healthy eating, but after watching my mom’s health deteriorate due to her battle with brain cancer, and being stunned by the breast cancer diagnosis of my otherwise healthy aunt, my interests in fitness and healthy living were kicked into high gear.
I started Mostly Well with the hope of inspiring women to care for their bodies so they can enjoy fuller, more confident lives.
So far, my own wellness journey has led me to:
Cook more often
Eat more fruits and veggies
Run half-marathons
Become a competitive amateur boxer
Sleep better
Prioritize my mental health
Set boundaries in my work and personal life
Have more energy and embrace life more fully
For a while my wellness journey was about me, but I’ve since realized how many other women are struggling to balance their own health and wellness with the demands of their daily lives. I became a personal trainer and started this business to share knowledge with other women and help them enjoy fuller, healthier lives.
